Manager and individual contributor within a Human Factors team of approximately 25 people within the Defense Evaluation Research Agency (<a title="Website explaining how DERA has evolved since I left" href="http://www.dera.gov.uk/newsite/home_3.htm">DERA</a>). Centre for Human Sciences.  The group effectively acted as a centralised Human Factors consultancy team for all the MoD&#8217;s technology prototyping projects.</p>
<p>Responsibilities included:</p>
<ol>
<li>Consultation on innovative research methods particularly in the domain of socio-technical system development and use.</li>
<li>Managing the human factors contribution made by others to large system prototyping projects that lead to detailed prototypes and procurement tendering specifications.</li>
<li>Producing user requirements specifications based on interviews,  observations and reviews of secondary resources.</li>
</ol>
